Interim Head of Finance - Ongoing Assignment
We're looking for a qualified, hands-on Interim Head of Finance to join a growing SME on an ongoing interim basis, working closely with key stakeholders and taking ownership of the finance function.
This is a role for someone who can hit the ground running, bring strong financial control and commercial insight, and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
The role
- Lead and maintain strong financial control, including month-end close.
- Take ownership of VAT queries across multiple countries.
- Control and monitor the financial plan, including understanding how projects and business decisions impact forecasts.
- Own financial planning, modelling and forecasting.
- Monitor performance against plan and provide clear insight to key stakeholders.
- Liaise with the bank and external stakeholders as required.
- Act as a proactive problem-solver and trusted finance partner to the business.
About you
You'll be a qualified accountant with experience at Financial Controller / Finance Director level, ideally within an SME or entrepreneurial environment.
You'll be
- Commercial, hands-on and highly proactive.
- Comfortable being thrown in at the deep end and taking ownership quickly.
- Strong technically, with a solid understanding of financial control, planning, forecasting and modelling.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage change and ambiguity.
