Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Support Engineer to join their experienced technical team in Basingstoke.
Please note: This is not an IT Helpdesk role. We are looking for engineers with an electrical, electronics, automation or electro-mechanical background.
The
Role: As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll become the first point of contact for installers, engineers and customers across the UK, providing technical advice and helping diagnose faults across a wide range of entrance automation products.
Every day is different.
One moment you'll be helping an engineer commission an automatic gate system remotely, the next you'll be identifying electrical faults, assisting with programming or recommending replacement components.
You'll receive comprehensive manufacturer training and be supported by an experienced technical team until you're fully confident across the product range.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support via telephone and email
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults
- Support engineers with installation, commissioning and programming
- Assist customers with product selection and applications
- Identify spare parts and replacement components
- Escalate complex technical issues where required
- Build specialist product knowledge across an extensive range of automation products
