A leading FTSE 250 manufacturing business based in Barnsley is looking for an ambitious Management Accountant to join its established finance team. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing weekly trading figures and providing insight into site performance
- Preparing weekly and monthly stock valuations, including provisions
- Producing factory KPI information and weekly performance reports
- Preparing and analysing sales and margin reports
- Preparing costings for new products
- Providing commercial analysis and supporting business scenario modelling
- Monitoring, maintaining and continually improving the accuracy of the site cost model
- Evaluating capital expenditure proposals and providing financial recommendations
- Managing and developing two members of the finance team
You will be a qualified Accountant with strong commercial awareness, ideally gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent IT skills and confidence working with financial systems and Excel, the drive and ambition to progress your career, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence are essential.
