We are currently recruiting for the position of Night Shift HGV Technician on behalf of a leading UK automotive dealer group.

Our client requires a skilled and experienced Night Shift HGV Technician to join their state-of-the-art commercial vehicle dealership located in Andover, Hampshire.

Duties of a Night Shift HGV Technician

  • Conducting servicing and maintenance of various HGVs across the client's fleet
  • Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and executing repairs
  • Performing warranty-approved work following brand specifications
  • Carrying out Department of Transport (MOT) testing where qualified
  • Completing electronic job cards and write-ups via franchise platforms
  • Conducting electronic vehicle health checks (e VHCs)
  • Providing support and guidance to Apprentice Technicians as required

Requirements of a Night Shift HGV Technician

  • Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Several years of relevant experience beyond qualification preferred
  • Strong commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Capable of producing accurate work in a busy workshop setting
  • Motivation to meet and exceed team targets
