Our client is a global, leading precision component manufacturer primarily operating in the Aerospace sector.

They manufacture precision engineered parts for aerospace customers (mainly precision fabrication and machining) and are looking for Despatch Team Leader to join their growing team.

    Job Description
  • Goods Inwards: Accepting delivered goods into the business accurately and effectively with the operating rule.
  • Managing a small team of despatch operatives whilst still being hands on.
  • Consumables: On receipt of consumables items, ensure delivery note is available then check consumables delivered against the delivery note.

Physical check of quantities and condition of goods.

Any discrepancies found must be communicated to Purchasing.

Faulty items to be placed in the cage pending resolution.

Any hazardous liquids to be immediately taken to a bund storage area.

  • Subcontract: Regularly receive parts from customers to carry out sub-contract operations. (Free-Issue parts).
  • Packing & Despatch: Packing parts for shipment to customers and raising the relevant paperwork to ensure prompt shipment to the customer.
  • Counting parts, packing them in cardboard boxes, using the computer system, scanning and labelling.
  • Loading of despatch vehicles.
  • Using computer/ERP systems.

  • Team leading or management experience.
  • Previous experience of working with goods inward or in a similar role.
