Excellent opportunity for an experienced Yard Operative or Forklift Driver with a valid licence covering forklifts up to 16 tonnes who is looking for a contract role.

Are you experienced in loading, unloading and handling materials within a yard, warehouse or industrial environment? Are you looking for a days-based role with consistent Monday to Friday hours?

In this role, you will support the movement, receipt and dispatch of materials across a busy industrial site. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, recording incoming and outgoing materials, completing documentation and ensuring the yard is kept clean and safe.

The Role:

  • Loading and unloading trucks and inspection lines
  • Receiving incoming materials and completing required records
  • Recording serial numbers, work orders and running numbers
  • Selecting, bundling and preparing materials for dispatch
  • Counting assets and reporting stock information
  • Updating records using computer-based systems
  • Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe
  • 3-month contract

The Person:

  • Valid forklift certificate covering forklifts up to 16 tonnes
  • Previous experience within a yard, warehouse, stores or materials environment
  • Able to use computer-based systems for reporting and record keeping
  • Good attention to detail
