Principal Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer sought at this established and successful SME Ground Investigation Company. The role is based in Towcester.
Our client is a leading provider of pragmatic and cost-effective ground investigation services for a wide range of projects including foundation advice, contaminated land assessment, drainage solutions, soil parameters for basement and infrastructure design as well as economic and sustainable remediation solutions, alongside specialist investigations and geoconsultancy services.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Principal Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer located in Towcester but allowing for some work from home. You will be responsible for overseeing ground investigations, providing expert guidance on geotechnical and geo-environmental matters, and delivering practical solutions for a range of projects. You will also support and develop a team of talented engineers and play a key role in growing the business and shaping its future.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or related field
- Chartered Geologist Status (or similar)
- Geotechnical Engineering, Geo-environmental Engineering, and/or Soil Mechanics skills
- Track record of conducting ground investigations and interpreting data
- Expertise in slope stability assessments and subsidence investigations would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Project management and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
