Geo-Environmental Engineer wanted at a leading Geo-Environmental Consultancy. This exciting role is based in Uxbridge.

Our client is part of an award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy who deliver a variety of complex construction challenges, site investigations, land contamination risk assessments, geotechnical engineering surveys, flood risk assessments, amongst other surveys, and have years of expertise in adopting a pragmatic approach to complex engineering challenges.

They are seeking a Geo-environmental Engineer with a background within a geo-environmental or geotechnical consultancy to support the delivery of ground investigation, geotechnical and geo-environmental projects across the UK. The role requires a technically capable engineer who can confidently manage site investigations, interpret environmental and geotechnical data, and contribute to high-quality reporting and client delivery. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and undertake ground investigations
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and ground gas sampling and logging
  • Supervise drilling contractors and on-site operations
  • Interpret geotechnical and geo-environmental data
  • Prepare factual and interpretative reports – ideally from desk study through to verification stage
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations. Support junior staff where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Essential
    • 3–6 years’ background within a geo-environmental or geotechnical consultancy
    • Track record of undertaking and supervising ground investigations
    • Strong report-writing and data interpretation skills – desk study and ground investigation reports
    • Knowledge of UK geo-environmental and geotechnical standards
    • Confident and technically capable
    • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Desirable
    • Prepare factual and interpretative reports – ideally from desk study through to verification stage
    • Working toward chartership
