Our client, a rapidly growing, family-owned business specialising in the creation, supply and installation of bespoke high-end furniture including media walls, walk-in wardrobes and kitchens, are now looking to add an experienced CNC Programmer to their team.

As a CNC Programmer you will be responsible for programming our 3 axis CNC machine alongside producing precise and detailed technical drawings for our assembly and installation teams. You will have extensive knowledge of Cabinet Vision and have a good understanding of joinery and installation techniques and requirements. In addition, you will create comprehensive build packs, assembly instructions, and installation guides to ensure seamless project execution.

Competitive salary: starting at £36,400

Full-time, permanent: subject to 6 month probationary period

Working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours (8 hours per day plus 30 min unpaid lunch break) Usually 08.00-16.30 / 08.30-17.00 / 09:00-17.30

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Programmer:

  • Prepare, optimise and submit CNC programmes.
  • Plan and coordinate CNC activities in conjunction with the production manager.
  • Work closely with the design, sales, production and installation teams to ensure a smooth order process from start to finish.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in CNC programming in the furniture industry.
  • A thorough understanding of Cabinet Vision software.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture and joinery construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience working as a machinist on edge banding and CNC machines.
  • Experience with Alpha Cam.
