Key Responsibilities of the CNC Grinder:
- Reading blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to determine machining requirements
- Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC grinding and milling equipment
- Selecting tooling, calculating feeds & speeds, and machining a variety of metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminium, and bronze
- Downloading, editing, or writing CNC programs as needed
- Performing quality inspections using precision instruments and gauging devices
- Applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve throughput
- Cleaning, finishing, and preparing components for shipment, including oiling, wrapping, and boxing
- Ensuring all components meet exacting specifications

What Youll Bring:
- Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience on CNC machine tools in a lean manufacturing environment
- Established experience with Rotary Table Grinder, CNC Table Grinder, or 5-Axis CNC Grinders OR strong multi-axis milling experience (Correa, Doosan, or similar)
- Skilled with control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
- Proven ability to hold ultra-tight tolerances
- Experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges)
- Ideally, experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar sectors
