Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking a motivated Practice Accountant with at least 2 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice environment. This role focuses on the preparation of statutory accounts and related services. You will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting and tax compliance services. This is an ideal opportunity for an AAT part-qualified accountant or a part-qualified ACCA student looking to progress their career within a supportive practice setting.
Key Responsibilities of the Practice Accountant Role:- Preparation of statutory year-end accounts for a range of clients across various industries.
- Completion of corporation tax returns.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Production of management accounts and bookkeeping as required.
- Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Provide support to team members and collaborate with colleagues on complex matters.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, within deadlines and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a UK accountancy practice environment.
- AAT qualified, or part-qualified ACCA/ACA with ongoing studies.
- Strong understanding of statutory accounts preparation and relevant tax compliance.
- Experience using accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive approach to work with a desire to develop professionally.
- Competitive salary of £26,500 - £30,000.
- Pension.
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
