An established professional membership organisation is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its finance team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract during an exciting period of systems transition and change.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to support day-to-day finance operations across purchase ledger, sales invoicing, banking and reconciliations, while assisting with the transition from Sage Line 50 to Business Central.
The organisation offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with employees working predominantly from home and attending the Bristol office once per week.
The Finance Assistant Role:
- Issuing and reconciling sales invoices
- Managing daily banking activities
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and payment runs
- Supporting monthly account reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses
- Assisting with year-end finance activities
- Providing wider administrative support across the finance function
About You
The successful Finance Assistant will have previous finance administration or finance assistant experience and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a busy finance team. Applicants should demonstrate:
- Experience using Business Central or a similar cloud-based ERP system (essential)
- Experience using Sage Line 50 (desirable)
- Experience working within a finance or accounts environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach
- Part-AAT qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
