Our client has an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to join them, a fast-growing international events business behind some of the leading food, beverage and hospitality exhibitions in the UK and Europe. You’ll be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key exhibitors, with a particular focus on the Italian market, building strong long-term relationships and maximising revenue across a growing portfolio of international events. This role is ideal for an experienced Key Account Manager or B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and taking ownership of high-value accounts.
Key Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of key exhibitors and strategic accounts
- Building strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients
- Growing revenue through renewals, upselling and cross-selling across exhibition portfolio
- Identifying new commercial opportunities within existing accounts
- Managing the full sales process, from initial contact through to closing and contract renewal
- Maintaining an accurate and well-organised sales pipeline and CRM
- Working closely with exhibitors to understand their objectives and maximise their participation at events
- Supporting clients throughout the sales and account management journey
- Representing the company at exhibitions, industry events and networking opportunities in the UK and Europe
- Working closely with senior management on account strategy, retention and revenue growth
- Keeping up to date with key trends, companies and developments across the European food, beverage and hospitality sectors
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in Key Account Management, B2B sales or exhibition/event sales
- Native Level Italian Speaker
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of growing and retaining client accounts
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Confident negotiator with strong commercial and closing abilities
- Highly organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple accounts simultaneously
- Target-driven, resilient and motivated by achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international and entrepreneurial environment
- Experience within the exhibitions, events, hospitality, food & beverage or related industries would be advantageous
