This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a next-generation institutional trading platform. You will define the engineering roadmap, lead a high-performing team, and deliver multi-asset trading capabilities across equities, options, FX, futures, and derivatives. The position requires strong architectural judgment, execution discipline, and hands-on technical expertise to ensure high performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance in latency-sensitive systems. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across product, risk, operations, and finance to drive platform evolution, enabling sophisticated institutional trading use cases. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering, offering direct impact on the growth and capabilities of a global brokerage platform.
Accountabilities:
- Define and own the engineering roadmap for institutional trading systems
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing engineering team with a culture of ownership and execution
- Partner with senior leadership to align engineering priorities with institutional trading and brokerage strategy
- Design, architect, and deliver institutional trading capabilities across multiple asset classes
- Drive technical standards for performance, scalability, availability, and operational resilience in latency-sensitive systems
- Coordinate multiple initiatives across trading, risk, margin, asset classes, and customer-facing tooling
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver production-ready systems
- Provide technical and architectural thought leadership, mentoring the engineering team and guiding strategic decisions
- Participate in hands-on engineering tasks, including proof-of-concepts, code reviews, production deployments, and L3 escalations
Requirements:
- VP-level (or equivalent) engineering experience owning critical, market-facing platforms
- Proven experience building and scaling engineering teams for complex, high-impact systems
- Deep expertise in institutional trading and brokerage technology, including execution systems, risk and margin platforms, and trading analytics
- Experience designing systems that support cross-asset risk and margining across multiple asset classes
- Strong architectural judgment and ability to balance speed, reliability, and regulatory control
- Advanced knowledge of OS fundamentals and distributed systems for high-performance trading
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with senior technical and business stakeholders
- Hands-on engineering experience with production systems in a regulated environment
