Our partner is looking for a Sr Net IQ Engineer (Net IQ Open Text) based in Canada.
This is a senior hands-on engineering role focused on supporting and evolving enterprise identity management environments.
You will provide deep technical expertise across Net IQ Open Text Identity Manager, with particular ownership of drivers, integrations, provisioning, and user lifecycle services.
The role combines production support, engineering, troubleshooting, change management, and continuous improvement in a complex enterprise environment.
You will independently investigate high-impact incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions that improve stability and security.
You will collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, application, project, vendor, and business teams to deliver reliable identity services.
The position also offers opportunities to improve processes, automate operational activities, and contribute technical expertise to projects and platform enhancements.

Accountabilities
- Provide hands-on production support for Net IQ Open Text Identity Manager services, investigating incidents, troubleshooting issues, and prioritizing work based on severity, risk, and business impact.
- Monitor support queues, incidents, service requests, and IDM services to drive timely resolution and minimize disruption to business operations.
- Design, configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Net IQ Open Text Identity Manager drivers, connectors, integrations, and related services.
- Perform root cause analysis for complex production issues and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
- Support provisioning, authentication, authorization, user lifecycle management, access controls, and integrations across enterprise identity environments.
- Monitor system and driver performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions to increase platform stability, efficiency, resilience, and security.
- Assess the technical and operational impact of planned changes, releases, maintenance activities, and projects affecting IDM services and production environments.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Infrastructure, Security, Project teams, application owners, vendors, and business stakeholders to coordinate changes, resolve incidents, and restore services.
- Ensure IDM solutions and operational activities align with security, privacy, compliance, continuity, and organizational standards.
- Research and recommend improvements to technical procedures, platform standards, processes, and operational practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities and adopt technologies that improve the efficiency and reliability of identity management services.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Net IQ Open Text Identity Manager and provide technical guidance during complex incidents, projects, and operational activities.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience working with
Net IQ Open Text Identity Manager technologies in enterprise application and production-support environments.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, configuring, maintaining, deploying, and troubleshooting
Net IQ Identity Manager drivers and connectors .
- Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts, including provisioning, authentication, authorization, user lifecycle management, access controls, and enterprise integrations.
- Demonstrated experience investigating complex production incidents, performing root cause analysis, assessing risk, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and integrations, with strong technical understanding of
XML, XSLT, SOAP APIs, and C# scripting .
- Experience evaluating the impact of technical changes and supporting implementation planning, maintenance activities, releases, and projects.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, production support processes, service management, and application reliability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across engineering, infrastructure, security, business, vendors, and support teams.
- A proactive mindset toward automation, process improvement, emerging technologies, and improving the resilience and security of identity services.
- Strong communication skills, professional judgment, accountability, and a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex enterprise environment while balancing operational urgency, technical quality, security, and business priorities.
