Accountabilities
- Design and implement robust backend services tailored to trading and financial systems
- Own features end-to-end, including database schema design, API development, testing, and frontend integration
- Build and maintain real-time infrastructure and high-performance client-facing APIs
- Develop and execute integration tests using real dependencies to ensure system reliability
- Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, production-ready features
Requirements
- At least 5 years of production experience in backend engineering
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or another strongly typed programming language
- Experience working with trading systems, financial infrastructure, or exchange-related environments
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and transaction processing
- Familiarity with modern backend frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Spring, FastAPI)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with production-grade ORMs (ideally TypeORM)
- Knowledge of precise decimal arithmetic in financial contexts
- Strong testing mindset, particularly integration-first approaches
- Ability to independently deliver frontend components using React or Next.js
