In this role, you will play a key part in embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle, partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders. Accountabilities

  • Define and lead the quality strategy within a cross‑functional product squad, ensuring testing approaches align with business objectives, technical complexity, and product risks.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams during planning, refinement, and design phases to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and measurable.
  • Enable development teams to take ownership of quality by promoting effective testing practices and supporting the implementation of automated testing across multiple layers.
  • Establish and maintain scalable testing frameworks, automation patterns, quality standards, and testing boundaries that support long‑term maintainability.
  • Conduct exploratory testing in complex, high‑risk, or business‑critical areas to identify issues and validate product behavior.
  • Drive adoption of quality tools, CI/CD best practices, and shared engineering standards to improve software reliability and delivery efficiency.
  • Provide visibility into product quality by identifying risks, highlighting coverage gaps, and communicating trade‑offs to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality engineering practices by sharing expertise, mentoring team members, and supporting broader organizational initiatives.
  • Explore and promote modern approaches to quality engineering, including AI‑assisted testing and automation strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or a related role within cross‑functional product teams.
  • Proven experience working with complex software systems, including APIs, distributed architectures, cloud‑based platforms, or multi‑layer applications.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies across unit, integration, system, and end‑to‑end testing levels.
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation and a solid understanding of how automated testing integrates into modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience working in environments where development teams are responsible for testing and quality ownership.
  • Ability to guide engineering teams in developing effective test coverage strategies and making pragmatic, risk‑based quality decisions.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, continuous delivery practices, and quality assurance within agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment when balancing product quality, delivery speed, and business priorities.
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, REST‑assured, Postman, or similar solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with test data management, service virtualization, mocking frameworks, and cloud‑native environments is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python is desirable.
