You will work closely with product and design teams to translate complex technical concepts into intuitive, high-performance interfaces used by both technical and non-technical users. The role blends deep frontend engineering craft with product thinking, requiring you to build systems that are not only visually polished but also scalable, maintainable, and fast to iterate on. You will play a key role in defining how users experience the product, with direct influence on usability, performance, and customer satisfaction. Operating in a startup-style environment, you will move quickly, collaborate tightly across disciplines, and continuously refine the product based on real user feedback. This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, speed, and building elegant solutions to complex UX challenges.

Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain highly performant, scalable user-facing applications using modern frontend technologies, primarily React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
  • Design frontend architectures that support rapid iteration while maintaining stability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and improving rendering, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
  • Develop reusable UI components and frontend patterns that enable consistent product development across teams.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and technical discussions, contributing to frontend system design and engineering standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment where shipping quickly and iterating based on user input is key.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong exposure to modern web application development.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, REST APIs, CSS, and related frontend technologies.
  • Proven experience building and scaling user-facing applications in startup or fast-paced product environments.
  • Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, including rendering efficiency, network performance, and UX responsiveness.
  • Deep focus on user experience and visual quality, with a high bar for UI/UX craft.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working across product, design, and engineering teams in both async and sync settings.
  • Experience taking ownership of technical decisions and contributing to architectural direction is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GitHub workflows and CI/CD practices is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with early-stage equity participation.
  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO).
  • Regular company offsites in NYC and international locations.
  • Fully remote-friendly setup with flexible work arrangements.
  • High-ownership environment with strong autonomy and impact on product direction.
  • Exposure to a fast-moving, product-driven engineering culture focused on speed and execution.
