Accountabilities
- Develop and launch an online-only hybrid journal
- Manage daily editorial processes and strategies for the journal
- Oversee a Deputy Editor and a Senior Editor
- Build relationships with global surgery and anaesthesiology communities
- Represent the journal at conferences and stay updated on industry trends
- Write editorials and other content as required
- Initiate new projects for the journal's future development
- Collaborate on projects within the editorial group and with partner organizations
Requirements
- Medical Degree or PhD in a relevant field with postdoctoral experience
- Extensive editorial experience at a senior level with strong understanding of the editorial process
- In-depth knowledge of biological and medical sciences related to surgery and anaesthesiology
- Ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills with capability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong command of English and ability to write engaging content
