We are seeking a curious and analytical Operations Research Engineer to help design and implement optimization and simulation models that drive smarter business decisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems with practical impact, enjoys working across cross-functional teams, and brings strong technical skills in modeling, data analytics, and automation. You\’ll contribute to innovation across logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation, helping shape scalable solutions for real-world challenges in global trade and supply chains.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and apply mathematical models (optimization, simulation, and statistical) to address real-world business challenges.
  • Design and implement algorithms for logistics, scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation tasks.
  • Leverage tools such as Python, SQL, and optimization libraries (e.g., OR-Tools, Gurobi, PuLP) to build and test models.
  • Analyze model outputs, extract insights, and create reports and visualizations tailored to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on validation, deployment, and iterative improvements.
  • Stay current with emerging methodologies in operations research, machine learning, and analytics.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Master\’s degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of optimization (linear, integer, nonlinear), simulation, graph theory, and statistical analysis.
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or C++ with practical experience in applying OR libraries (e.g., OR-Tools, Gurobi, CPLEX).
  • Excellent analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within multicultural, cross-functional teams.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience applying OR techniques in industry or academic settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Streamlit) and basic knowledge of machine learning are a plus.
