This role offers the opportunity to shape and maintain high-quality technical documentation for complex enterprise products in a fast-evolving AI and data landscape. As a Sr Technical Writer, you will work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to translate sophisticated technical concepts into clear, accurate, and accessible content. You will produce guides, tutorials, API documentation, and hands-on labs that help developers, data engineers, and technology leaders understand and use cutting-edge multi-model databases and AI platforms. This position requires a blend of strong technical literacy, writing excellence, and familiarity with docs-as-code workflows, enabling you to create content that is both technically precise and easy to discover. You will also contribute to improving documentation workflows, including automation and SEO optimization, to ensure content is up-to-date and widely accessible.
Accountabilities- Develop, update, and maintain high-quality documentation for enterprise AI and database products.
- Translate complex features and workflows into clear, accessible technical content including getting started guides, tutorials, integration guides, and release notes.
- Document REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and create practical code samples in Python, cURL, or other relevant languages.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and technical depth in documentation.
- Manage documentation lifecycle using docs-as-code practices with GitHub, Markdown, and static site generators (Hugo), including CI/CD integration for automated builds.
- Create diagrams, videos, and other visual aids to support technical explanations and improve comprehension.
- Optimize content for discoverability using SEO best practices and analytics data.
- 3–5 years of professional technical writing experience for complex technologies such as databases, SaaS, or cloud platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to produce clear, structured, and accurate documentation.
- Experience in docs-as-code workflows: Git/GitHub, Markdown, static site generators (Hugo), and CI/CD pipelines for automated documentation builds.
- Proven experience documenting REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Ability to read and understand code (Python, cURL/API) to create practical examples and samples.
- Familiarity with terminal environments, Docker, and technical concepts such as machine learning, distributed computing, and database systems.
- Experience creating visual aids such as diagrams or videos to communicate complex concepts.
- Preferred: knowledge of graph databases, AI/ML concepts, LLM frameworks, Jupyter notebooks, and cloud infrastructure tools like Kubernetes.
