Accountabilities

  • Design and build the core infrastructure powering AI agent capabilities, including orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation systems, and trust frameworks.
  • Develop reliable, secure, and observable backend systems that enable AI assistants to interact with data, applications, and developer workflows.
  • Create and improve agent-based features that help users analyze information, understand performance, troubleshoot issues, and make better decisions.
  • Build systems around large language models, including tool usage, structured outputs, context handling, evaluation processes, and agent workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define architecture, identify technical challenges, and establish scalable solutions for an evolving AI platform.
  • Improve system reliability, performance, and usability by identifying gaps, investigating issues, and implementing meaningful improvements.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery while working independently in a fast-moving product environment.
  • Support knowledge sharing and mentor other engineers as the team and platform continue to grow.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications with large language models, beyond basic prompting, including agent workflows, tool integration, structured outputs, context management, orchestration, or evaluation.
  • Strong backend engineering fundamentals with experience designing reliable, scalable, secure, and observable systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments where architecture and product direction are continuously evolving.
  • Self-driven approach with the ability to identify opportunities, define solutions, and deliver projects independently.

  • Experience with AI platforms and tools such as OpenAI or Anthropic APIs is a plus.
  • Previous experience building AI agents, conversational interfaces, Slack integrations, or developer-focused tools is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with evaluation and observability frameworks such as Langfuse or LangChain is a plus.
  • Knowledge of subscription business models, mobile applications, app stores, or developer platforms is beneficial.
