You will own lifecycle marketing strategies across email, SMS, subscriptions, and customer retention initiatives. Accountabilities:
- The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and scaling lifecycle marketing programs that improve retention, increase customer engagement, and maximize revenue opportunities across multiple channels.
- Own the email and SMS marketing strategy, including campaign calendars, automated flows, and lifecycle communications.
- Build, optimize, and maintain customer journeys across key lifecycle stages, including welcome, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, upsell, subscription, winback, and re-engagement flows.
- Manage SMS campaigns and automations while continuously improving customer engagement and conversion performance.
- Develop retention strategies focused on increasing repeat purchases, subscription adoption, customer lifetime value, and overall loyalty.
- Create advanced customer segmentation and personalization strategies based on customer behavior, lifecycle stages, and engagement patterns.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling email and SMS content that educates, inspires, and converts customers.
- Establish and manage an experimentation roadmap covering subject lines, messaging, offers, timing, segmentation, personalization, creative assets, landing pages, and product recommendations.
- Analyze lifecycle performance, customer behavior, and retention metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build reporting dashboards and communicate actionable insights to improve customer experience and marketing performance.
- Partner with Growth Marketing, Creative, Customer Experience, Product, CRO, and leadership teams to deliver consistent and impactful customer interactions.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is a data-driven lifecycle marketing professional with strong execution skills, a deep understanding of customer behavior, and experience building high-performing retention programs.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or retention marketing roles.
- Advanced experience using Klaviyo for campaign management, segmentation, and automated customer journeys.
- Experience managing SMS marketing programs, with Postscript experience considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing principles, customer segmentation, personalization, and retention strategies.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize automated marketing flows.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting retention metrics and customer behavior data.
- Experience creating and analyzing A/B tests to improve marketing performance.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on campaign execution.
- Strong copywriting instincts and understanding of consumer psychology.
- Experience in DTC eCommerce, health, wellness, supplements, beauty, or consumer products is preferred.
- Familiarity with subscription business models, cohort analysis, attribution, and retention reporting is a plus.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve marketing efficiency and creative workflows.
