This role offers the opportunity to define and craft AI-native experiences that empower users to interact effectively with intelligent agents, workflows, and copilots. You will shape how AI behaves in a practical, understandable, and trustworthy way while collaborating closely with engineering and product teams. Operating in a fully remote and highly autonomous environment, you will influence the design of complex systems, tackle novel UX challenges, and establish design patterns that guide users through AI-powered interactions. This position combines strategy, hands-on execution, and thought leadership, making it ideal for a designer passionate about the intersection of AI and human-centered experiences.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design strategy for Applied AI experiences from discovery to shipped products, including AI agents, workflows, and copilots.
- Provide thought leadership on AI design trends, shaping direction and best practices for AI-powered product surfaces.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and ML teams to translate AI capabilities into intuitive, usable, and trustworthy user experiences.
- Prototype and test AI-powered flows, interactions, and automation systems to ensure clarity, usability, and user trust.
- Define patterns for AI-assisted actions, monitoring, error handling, and user control, establishing consistency across the product.
- Influence product decisions as a peer to Product and Engineering, offering design expertise rather than acting solely as an executor.
- Maintain high standards of visual and UX craft, ensuring polished, shippable work.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating UX and visual craft.
- Deep experience designing AI-powered tools, conversational interfaces, or automation systems.
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted prototyping tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar).
- Proficiency in Figma and other high-fidelity design tools for collaborative product design.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex design concepts and influence teams asynchronously.
- Proven ability to work in ambiguity and solve novel UX problems without existing patterns.
- Strong attention to detail resulting in polished, user-ready designs.
- Experience integrating AI thoughtfully into design workflows and able to explain its practical applications.
- Alignment with company values and a passion for remote, autonomous, and high-impact work.
