Engineering Manager, Platform

We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Platform in Europe. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in shaping, scaling, and strengthening the company's platform infrastructure.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the architecture, strategy, and execution of core platform technologies, promoting best practices across the organization
  • Drive adoption of modern infrastructure automation, reliability engineering, and integrated security principles
  • Act as a bridge between platform and application development teams to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellence
  • Oversee the delivery of scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient platform services
  • Ensure adherence to high‑quality standards through testing, observability, and security‑by‑design practices
  • Define clear short‑ and long‑term goals for the platform roadmap and ensure timely execution
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to attract and retain top engineering talent

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in cloud‑native environments with distributed systems and platform development
  • At least 2 years of experience managing Platform, DevOps, or SRE teams, including mentoring and performance management
  • Proven success in planning and executing complex infrastructure initiatives from concept to delivery
  • Expertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
  • Deep understanding of event‑driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ), and cloud database management
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated security testing
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
  • Preferred: experience with developer experience (DX) improvement, cost optimization, or highly regulated industries (Fintech, Telecom, Gaming)
