Our partner is looking for a Director of Talent & People based in United Kingdom.

  • Accountabilities
  • Own and evolve the overall Talent and People strategy, ensuring the organization has the structure, processes, and capabilities needed to support continued growth.
  • Lead company‑wide talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning, and recruiting operations while improving hiring quality, speed, and predictability.
  • Manage and develop the recruiting team, creating scalable processes to support hiring across multiple functions and regions.
  • Personally support executive and leadership‑level hiring initiatives, including improving interview processes, candidate experience, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Build and maintain scalable people operations systems covering onboarding, offboarding, documentation, policies, and employee support.
  • Create a strong employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring teams have clarity around roles, responsibilities, reporting structures, and expectations.
  • Partner with leadership teams on organizational design, workforce planning, team structures, and operational improvements.
  • Develop performance management, feedback, career development, and retention programs to support employee growth and engagement.
  • Establish visibility into organisational health through people metrics, insights, and proactive identification of talent‑related risks.
  • Act as a strategic partner to executives by providing practical solutions and building the infrastructure required for long‑term growth.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Human Resources, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven experience supporting organisations with 100+ employees, ideally within high‑growth start‑ups, agencies, technology companies, or rapidly scaling environments.
  • Experience leading recruiting teams and managing end‑to‑end hiring operations.
  • Strong understanding of people operations within remote‑first or globally distributed organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build recruiting systems, onboarding frameworks, performance management processes, and employee development programmes.
  • Experience partnering directly with founders, executives, or senior leadership teams on strategic people decisions.
  • Strong organisational judgement, decision‑making skills, and the ability to operate effectively with limited information and changing priorities.
  • A proactive ownership mindset with a focus on execution, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments where building new systems and processes is a core part of the role.
