This role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate developers by promoting best practices in software quality and security. As a Developer Advocate, you will act as a trusted voice within the global developer community, creating content, hosting events, and engaging with technical audiences across various platforms. You\’ll collaborate with product, sales, and engineering teams to share insights, build strong community relationships, and shape the developer experience. This position is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, a passion for advocacy, and the ability to connect with developers worldwide.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Engage with developers and communities by creating thought leadership content such as blogs, podcasts, videos, and tutorials
- Build strong connections with developer communities through forums, events, meetups, workshops, and conferences
- Develop compelling demos and integrations with partners and ecosystem vendors
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and sales teams to provide feedback and amplify the value of software quality and security
- Strengthen ecosystem engagement by working with community managers and fellow advocates
- Leverage social media and digital channels to extend visibility and reach within the developer community
Requirements
To succeed, you should bring:
- 10+ years of experience in roles such as developer advocate, evangelist, solution architect, or software engineer
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Proven experience in technical writing and delivering presentations at technical events
- Track record of accepted speaking engagements at conferences and a growing presence on platforms like GitHub, LinkedIn, Medium, YouTube, or Twitter
- Excellent communication skills with technical audiences in English
- A collaborative mindset, autonomy, adaptability, and a positive, proactive attitude
- Ability to lead initiatives, challenge the status quo, and contribute to strategic community-building efforts
