In this role, you will lead communications efforts for premier sportscar racing programs, shaping the narrative of iconic automotive brands in endurance racing. You will manage high-profile media relations, create compelling content across multiple platforms, and support global brand storytelling initiatives. The position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, integrate communications strategies across teams, and amplify the impact of racing programs worldwide. You will ensure consistent messaging, strengthen brand presence, and engage both specialist and mainstream media audiences. Travel to race events and team facilities will provide hands‑on exposure to high‑performance motorsport environments, enhancing your storytelling and professional network.
Accountabilities
- Develop press releases, race reports, statements, driver/team quotes, and internal communications tailored to sportscar racing programs.
- Collaborate with creative and digital teams to produce engaging social media content and multimedia assets (photo, video, graphics).
- Serve as the primary media liaison, managing requests, interviews, press briefings, and race weekend logistics.
- Support storytelling initiatives highlighting technical innovation, team culture, and brand values.
- Provide on-site communications support at global racing events, capturing and distributing behind-the-scenes content.
- Develop internal updates for stakeholders and ensure consistent messaging across brand teams and channels.
- Coordinate with event organizers and promoters to maximize exposure and audience engagement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in communications, media relations, or public relations within sports, automotive, or related industries.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills across multiple platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to liaise with senior executives, drivers, engineers, and media representatives.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel globally (approximately 25–50% of the time).
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align communications initiatives with broader business and brand objectives.
- Proficient in digital and social media strategies to amplify content reach and engagement.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for storytelling in high‑performance motorsport.
