This position is for a Backend Software Engineer (Remote) at a fast-growing climate tech startup focused on developing sustainable energy solutions. You will help enhance our platform that facilitates the transition towards 24/7 clean energy, directly impacting electricity companies and suppliers by addressing their needs for efficient energy consumption and generation matching. This role is key to further shaping our organizational culture and improving our working methodologies, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, test and release new functionalities for the Energy Platform, focusing on optimizing energy consumption and production.
- Collaborate with product teams to define and shape new product features.
- Contribute to team culture and improve existing ways of working.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages, preferably including Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience in energy or financial markets is a plus.
- Strong understanding of team best practices and quality software development.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in startup and/or remote work environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with relational databases, especially Postgres, is advantageous.
