Imagine your future with us.ABOUT THIS ROLEBased in London, Audible is seeking a Manager, Catalog Operations, who will work to maintain and grow the Audible catalogue through handling, management and transfer of digital audio, metadata and image files from receipt to publication, and through the accurate creation and editing of product metadata including core metadata, table of contents, series and affiliations relationships. Reporting into the Director, Catalog Operations for UK and Europe, this role involves working globally with teams in Germany, the US and APAC. The ideal candidate is an energetic and creative troubleshooter and self-starter, and will be adept at refining processes and learning new tools.ABOUT YOUYou’re an avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and print), blogs, podcasts, and other digital content. You’re a self-starter with impeccable organisational and analytical skills who is highly organised and detail oriented. You’re able to thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment and have a track record as an accomplished manager of projects.As a Manager, Catalog Operations, you will…- Implement and standardize repeatable processes for metadata management, identifying opportunities for workflow automation – Partner with technical and non-technical teams to support new initiatives focused on enhancing catalog quality- Ensure Audible’s content policy is applied accurately across the catalog- Receive and check audio files, images and metadata from internal and external providers with a high level of accuracy- Analyze data using SQL, Quicksight, or similar tools to identify trends and generate reports on catalog health and operational effectiveness- Help define program requirements and manage projects for catalog enhancement initiatives, developing timelines and tracking deliverables- Communicate process changes to stakeholders and develop training materials for new procedures- Coordinate rush schedules with providers and other internal teams to ensure titles publish in a timely manner- Process and create trouble tickets containing metadata change requests from customers, authors, and content providers- Index and copyedit product metadata to support daily processing of new titles; create new product records from publishing partner asset deliveries; and assist with ad-hoc update projects encompassing large portions of the catalog- Prioritize, fact-check, copyedit and organize Table of Contents data received from internal and third-party sources in adherence with the Audible style guide, performing this work on time-sensitive new releases, back catalog and special projects- Fact-check and curate Audible series pages for online display to customers, in accordance with internal best practices and customer feedbackABOUT AUDIBLEAudible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling.
