Are you a proactive, hands-on HR leader with experience in the manufacturing/production sector? Have you experience leading and implementing HR strategy, working closely with senior leaders both in the UK and internationally and overseeing all aspects of HR? If so, then we have the perfect position for you!

A large international manufacturing business based in Bury St Edmunds is currently looking to bring in a HR Manager to manage their UK function. The position is paying between £60,000 - £80,000, annual bonus, company car plus many other benefits!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Advise and support managers on daily people management and business project development.
  • Ensure implementation and follow-up of HR initiatives aligned with Group HR strategy.
  • Handle employee and industrial relations, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, leave, and exits.
  • Lead recruitment and selection in line with Group policies.
  • Identify training needs and implement development plans.
  • Drive internal HR communications and crisis communication efforts per Group strategy.
  • Develop HR reporting (headcount, budgets, forecasts) in line with Group guidelines.
  • Lead annual payroll and resource budgeting; analyze and optimize workforce costs.
  • Promote continuous improvement and employee wellbeing to strengthen culture and values.
  • Recommend actions to boost engagement, retention, and employer branding.

Experience and skills:

  • At least 5 years’ professional HR experience, preferably in leadership.
  • Knowledge of reward systems and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and team-building abilities.
  • Empathetic approach with ability to motivate diverse teams.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience influencing senior staff and directors.
  • Comfortable with both strategic and operational HR tasks.
