As a Strategic Account Executive at CircleCI, you are a bold, intellectually curious, and results-driven individual who understands our product in-depth and is passionate about presenting its value to customers. This is an impactful role at CircleCI, involving introducing our solution to new engineering teams. You’ll be responsible for driving the sales process for new logos and expanding within our largest accounts, including some of the world’s fastest-growing technology companies. You will manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to qualification, negotiation, and closing—with decision-makers in Engineering departments across various verticals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the product roadmap based on market and customer requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Develop strategies to identify, craft, and close sales opportunities within strategic customer segments, primarily generating new opportunities with potential for expansion.
- Utilise Challenger and MEDDPICC sales methodologies effectively.
- Use data and insights to overcome objections and craft compelling, value-based solutions for multiple stakeholders.
- Build, prioritise, and forecast your pipeline using platforms like Hubspot, Outreach.io, Gainsight, 6sense, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn.
- Manage evaluations, POCs, contract negotiations, and customer relationships.
- Work closely with internal teams, including solution engineers, customer success, and product managers.
- Operate with integrity, maintaining honesty with customers at all times.
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of SaaS sales experience, selling technical products to large enterprise customers, with a proven top-performer track record.
- Interest in the DevOps ecosystem and familiarity with technical concepts and their business value.
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, scaling environment.
- Resilient, inquisitive, and motivated.
- Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- A consistent record of exceeding sales quotas with a curated account list of Fortune 100 or 500 companies across industries.
- Experience growing existing accounts and opening new ones.
- Experience selling to Engineering Leadership (CIO, CTO, VP of Engineering, DevOps Leaders, etc.).
- Experience closing 7-figure, multi-year contracts with Fortune companies.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
