The successful candidate will report directly to the Director and will have opportunities to develop skills and manage projects, including leading a team of engineers, building physicists, and technicians.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing domestic water systems, including demand calculations to BS and IoP standards
- Sizing domestic water and drainage pumps
- Designing above ground foul and rainwater systems
- Specifying renewable technologies
- Developing concept designs through to detailed construction drawings (RIBA Stages 2-5)
- Collaborating with architects, clients, structural engineers, and contractors
- Project management and site inspections
Qualifications and Experience:
- British or European citizenship or valid UK work rights
- Degree in mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years' experience as a Public Health Design Engineer in the UK
- Proficiency in Revit MEP
- Knowledge of BS EN 12845, BS 9251, BS 9990, BS 750 standards
- Understanding of UK building regulations, particularly Parts G, H, and L
