We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Midwife to join our client's team in South London. In this role, you will lead and support a team of midwives, ensuring high standards of maternity care are delivered to women and families. You will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing midwifery services within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Description:
- Maintain clinical credibility by regularly practicing in your area of expertise.
- Be visible, accessible, and approachable to staff, patients, and the public, ensuring open and honest communication.
- Oversee the standards of care across clinical areas and initiate corrective actions if necessary.
- Collaborate with the MMHS team, midwifery staff, and allied health professionals to assess and address clinical skills needs.
- Serve as a resource for junior staff, support developmental projects, and advise on additional resources.
- Provide internal and external advice and act as a coach/mentor for staff.
- Lead on mental health initiatives in maternity and ensure compliance with Trust and NHS policies.
Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents and their implications for service provision.
- Motivation to maintain professional development.
- Experience in acute and primary healthcare settings.
- Previous community and hospital experience.
