As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will serve as a key scientific expert and field-based ambassador, building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions across the UK. You will play a pivotal role in scientific exchange, clinical insight gathering, and supporting medical strategy for oncology products in development and on the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with KOLs and HCPs to provide unbiased, scientific information on oncology products and pipeline assets.
- Support clinical development and real-world evidence initiatives through site engagement and feasibility discussions.
- Deliver scientific presentations and participate in advisory boards, congresses, and investigator meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Commercial.
- Provide field insights to inform medical strategy and evidence generation plans.
- Ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice and internal SOPs.
Candidate Profile
- Essential: PhD in Life Sciences, Oncology, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of MSL experience in oncology.
- Deep understanding of oncology therapeutic landscape, clinical trials, and treatment pathways.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across the UK (up to 70%).
- Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus.
- Desirable: Experience in solid tumors or hematologic malignancies.
- Prior experience in a biotech or start-up environment.
- Familiarity with HTA processes and NHS structure.
