About the Role As a Project Manager with an engineering background, you will be accountable for managing multiple site projects. At Cavaghan & Gray we produce the highest quality M&S products with a production capacity of 115 million units per year, spread across over 150 different products. More than 100 years old, the site played a major role in the ready meal revolution in the 1970s, launching three of the first-ever prepared ready meal products – cauliflower cheese, cottage pie and Cumberland pie – all for Marks & Spencer. About You If you are a seasoned engineering leader with the vision to drive modernisation, improve efficiency, and lead a team to success, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage ongoing site projects, including capital investment initiatives. Plan and organize governance processes for all site projects. Lead projects spanning infrastructure, machinery installations, and fabrication work. Coordinate and collaborate with third-party contractors to ensure project delivery. Work closely with both internal stakeholders and external customers to achieve project goals. Key Skills You will have a background in engineering within either the mechanical or electrical discipline. Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM are desirable. Demonstrated experience in applying structured project management methodologies on large scale projects. Strong organisational and planning skills to manage complex projects effectively. Experience in managing cross-functional teams. Strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate diverse teams. Ability to foster collaboration across different departments to achieve project goals. This is a full time, permanent position based in Carlisle Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm.
