Over the past twenty years, the Council has built up first-class services, outstanding public infrastructure, and a reputation for excellence, innovation, and ambition. We are leading the way on essential work such as our fight for equity in Hackney with a particular focus on becoming an actively anti-racist borough. But the work doesn’t stop there; we are proactive in our approach to bringing fairness to all aspects of life including gender, neurodiversity and across the poverty divide.

Are you a highly motivated, collaborative, and efficient individual seeking to make a tangible impact within the public sector? The London Borough of Hackney is looking for a Programme Manager to join our Climate, Homes, and Economy Directorate, within the Employment, Skills, and Adult Learning service. • Lead the development and maintenance of performance management, monitoring, and reporting frameworks
  • Oversee effective programme management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of grant-funded programmes, particularly Connect to Work
  • Conduct monitoring, verification, and assurance visits to ensure programme compliance, value for money, and alignment with Council priorities

  • Demonstrable experience in performance management, developing challenging outcomes, and negotiating goals
  • Expertise in developing and sustaining successful partnerships across public and private sectors
  • Highly organised programme management skills, including meticulous management of delivery and financial programmes
