Main Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Process, M&E Director, you will join an established team of Process, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers. Your role will involve leading multidisciplinary design schemes, assisting with project delivery in the Water and Waste sectors, and providing line management to a team of motivated, developing engineers.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Act as Lead Process Engineer on both single and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Undertake site and process surveys of existing water industry infrastructure.
  • Develop and review process designs, specifications, and documentation.
  • Review process designs prepared by others.
  • Manage project stakeholders effectively (clients, contractors, other disciplines).
  • Ensure project requirements meet client specifications and relevant standards.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with other Pell Frischmann discipline leads.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in Process Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, technologies, and standards.
  • Experience in process design for Water and Waste sectors.
  • Understanding of relevant standards, Codes of Practice, and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience with current design methods.
  • Proactive team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with ATEX/DSEAR.
  • Experience with HAZOP analysis and implementation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Chartered Chemical Engineer: CEng or working towards membership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAD/BIM applications.
  • Full UK driving license.
