Position: Senior Payroll Specialist Tax Services As part of ongoing business growth, we are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to strengthen our dynamic payroll services team. This position is primarily based in our Belfast office, with collaboration across teams located in Lisburn and Portadown. Our payroll division operates within the wider Tax Services department and is led by our Head of Payroll. With a strong reputation for reliability and technical know-how, we deliver tailored payroll solutions to a broad client base. As a Bacs-authorised provider, we help organisations streamline and outsource essential payroll operations. Services include: End-to-end payroll processing Bacs-enabled payment services Payroll forecasting Pension scheme support Advisory and consultancy on payroll matters Key Responsibilities Manage the preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients Ensure payroll operations comply with current legislation and internal quality standards Provide clients with prompt, accurate support and resolve payroll-related queries Liaise with pension providers and assist with relevant administrative duties Support team-wide process improvements and workflow efficiencies Candidate Profile Essential: A minimum of 2 years experience handling payroll in a digital payroll environment Strong practical understanding of current payroll laws and best practices High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail Problem-solving mindset with good organisational and time management skills Confident written and verbal communication abilities Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word Desirable: Background in an accountancy firm or dedicated payroll bureau CIPP qualification or equivalent certification in payroll or tax administration Benefits Package Competitive salary structure Flexible working hours Option to work part of the week remotely (hybrid model) 2 Days WFH Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for health and wellbeing support Benefits: Work From Home Flexitime Work From Home
