Tasks and responsibilities:

Key Purpose of the Role

The UK Cluster HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in driving the people strategy across a group of distribution centres within a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environment. The role is responsible for aligning HR practices with business objectives, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational delivery, supporting managers and employees in achieving both individual and organisational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Business Partnering
    • Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership teams, providing guidance on people-related matters to drive business performance.
    • Partner with operational managers to implement HR strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
    • Provide expertise in workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Employee Relations (ER)
    • Lead on complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and company policies.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on disciplinary, grievance, and performance management issues.
  • HR Processes and Compliance
    • Oversee the execution of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll input, and offboarding.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
    • Monitor and report on key HR metrics, including absence, turnover, and employee satisfaction.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture
    • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
    • Facilitate communication and feedback channels between employees and management.
    • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the cluster.
  • Training and Development
    • Identify training needs and collaborate with relevant parties to deliver relevant programmes.
    • Support the development of leadership capabilities within the management team.
  • Change Management
    • Lead and support change management initiatives, such as organisational restructures.
    • Ensure effective communication and employee buy-in during periods of change.
Profile: Key skills and qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role within a logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing complex ER cases and driving HR processes in an operational context.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach managers at all levels.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
