This is a very exciting role for anyone with fluent Mandarin and banking background who is looking for their next step in the financial services sector. The organisation is one of the largest well-known Chinese organisations with strong relationships across 100 countries and regions in finance and energy sector. You will need to have previous experience of working in the settlement or treasury department of a bank and the ability to “hit-the-ground-running”. Sector: Banking/Financial services/broking

Location: City of London

Language required: Fluent Mandarin and English

Hours: Hybrid (Monday-Thursday on site, Friday home) 8.30am-5.30pm

Salary: up to £53,000 per annum + excellent benefits

The role: This is a key appointment, and you will be reporting to the Senior Manager in London with a functional reporting line to Head Office in Hong Kong.

  • Cash management – Reporting flow of cash in and out of the company.
  • Liaising with other international finance teams.
  • Collating of Treasury payments.
  • Advise Treasury where there is an issue such as loan rates too high/banks not processing payments etc.
  • Checking/Processing of payment instructions.
  • Booking/Reconciling of loans/loan positions with house banks.
  • Managing SWIFT requests, Bank Audit Letters, Returned Payments/Unallocated Receipts, Bank statement reconciliation against in-house systems/payment instructions.
  • Producing Debtors/Creditors reports to identify where payments have not been made on time/funds have not been received on due date.
  • Capture and maintain banking information for compliance reasons.
  • Awareness of issues/sanctions regarding the worldwide remittance of funds.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated.
  • Previous experience of working in the settlement or treasury department of a major bank or commodity house.
  • Fluent in Mandarin & English.
