Reporting to the Contract Services Manager, the Traffic Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination and delivery of Traffic Signal projects and schemes. The role will ensure that works are effectively planned and coordinated, delivered safely and efficiently, and completed to the required quality standards, within agreed timescales and budgets.
This is an office-based role, with the successful candidate required to work on-site at our Mickelfield depot five days per week.
What you’ll do:
Support the Project Manager and operational team with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of traffic signal projects and schemes.
Coordinate site activities associated with traffic signal installation, modification, testing and commissioning, including booking and confirming site attendance.
Work closely with the operational team to ensure all required site information, permits, traffic management arrangements, materials, equipment and resources are in place ahead of planned works.
Support the project team through installation, testing, commissioning and final handover of traffic signal schemes
Assist in coordinating traffic management requirements and other site prerequisites to enable works to proceed safely and efficiently
Carry out other reasonable project coordination duties required to support the successful delivery of Traffic Signal schemes.
Who you are: You’re an organised and proactive coordinator who enjoys keeping projects moving and making sure the details are taken care of. You’re able to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and anticipate what’s needed to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.
Key Requirements:
Experience in a similar role (Traffic / Highways / Telecoms / Utilities) is essential
Strong understanding of permits, Streetworks (NSWRA) and traffic management
Awareness of how to track expenditure / cost for materials
Knowledge of CDM regulations is desirable
Proactive, organised with strong attention to detail
Must be happy with a full time, office based role
