This role is within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

As Site Manager you will manage Health & Safety and Quality on all the sites. You will be responsible for ensuring construction work under your control is carried out correctly. Ensure all correct permits for the activity being undertaken are issued. Responsible for direct labour and subcontractors, materials/plant on site. You must ensure they all comply with the industrial engineering codes of practice, company procedures and relevant safety standards. Responsible for the programme deadlines and ensuring everything is done cost-effectively and to the client’s satisfaction.

Manage Health & Safety and Quality on all the sites. Lead by example with regards to SHEQ (PPE) to motivate your teams. You will be responsible for compliance with Specific Risk Assessment and method statements for construction activities. Ensuring your teams do not operate any plant equipment unless trained, appropriately certificate and authorised.

Liaise with customers at site level and making sure all details are given to the Customer Liaison Manager for follow up. Report any hazards / near misses / accidents / incidents / utility damages directly to the Construction Manager. Ensure all Direct and Sub-contractors teams follow Codes of Practice & adhere to NRSWA requirements.

Maintain and identify any training requirements with your permit, water hygiene card first aid etc. Manage mains replacement operations such as pipe insertion, pipe bursting, directional drilling and open cut, and customer connections. Manage the mains replacement teams ensuring that quality and programme targets are met. Ensure Morrison Water Services reporting QA procedures are followed in line with the electronic systems used to comply with project standards.
