We’re seeking a capable Licensed Conveyancer / Residential Property Casehandler to join our 7-person team at a long-established, Legal 500-recognised niche law firm. This role is to replace a retiring team member and offers the chance to work in a supportive, close-knit environment with a strong reputation in residential conveyancing.

About the Role: You’ll manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, with a strong emphasis on shared ownership, leasehold and new build matters – many of which are London and South East based. Clients are located across England and Wales. You’ll handle files from post-quotation through to post-completion and work with autonomy, accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing residential sale, purchase, remortgage and shared ownership matters from start to finish
  • Regular client communication – predominantly via email – with a need for fast, accurate responses
  • Drafting, reviewing and processing contracts and related legal documents
  • Liaising with solicitors, clients, developers, housing associations and lenders
  • Navigating leasehold and new build complexities confidently

Requirements:

  • Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or CILEX Legal Executive with direct, hands-on experience managing your own conveyancing caseload
  • Must be highly competent with email correspondence and fast-paced digital communication
  • Strong attention to detail – meticulous, methodical, and alert
  • A minimum of BBB at A-Level (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Experience with shared ownership and leasehold transactions is highly desirable
