We aim to support students to articulate, explain and justify their own position within the complex and diverse field of education. We are looking to recruit a Lecturer (Teaching) in MA Education. The successful candidate will be the Module Leader for Curriculum Development: Issues and Principles’ CDIP Module, as well as a personal tutor and dissertation supervisor to a group of MA students. You may be involved in contributing to teaching across a range of other modules, including our compulsory modules ‘What is Education?’ and ‘The Future of Education’ and will contribute to the development of courses and programmes in Education. In addition, you will use a range of monitoring and evaluation techniques to assess the effectiveness of course/programme delivery and will contribute to quality assurance and quality improvement within the developing frameworks of the Institute and the respective national agencies. This post is on a part-time basis (0.50 FTE / hours per week). Job-share may be considered. For further information on this post, please contact Dr. Alex Elwick via email: About you The successful candidate will have a Masters degree or relevant experience in an area relevant to Education. You will have a background in, or extensive knowledge of, curriculum theory and experience of working effectively with postgraduates studying on an MA Education, in both teaching and tutoring roles. Additionally, you will have good knowledge of a wide range of learning and teaching approaches suited to postgraduate students’ needs.
