The Role We are looking for an experienced HR Recruitment Specialist to support ODRL’s internal growth and consultancy projects. This is a contract-based opportunity for a seasoned recruiter to apply their expertise in talent acquisition, particularly within the public sector for middle senior management roles, to attract top-tier candidates who align with our mission of building resilient, high-performing organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outreach strategies across channels such as social media, job boards, networking events, and talent communities.
- Draft, post, and manage engaging job advertisements that reflect role requirements and organisational culture.
- Review applications and create shortlists aligned with both client expectations and best-fit criteria.
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end selection process, including scheduling interviews and conducting initial screenings.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Design tailored interview guides for a range of roles.
- Continuously improve recruitment processes through data insights and market intelligence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).
- Chartered membership of a professional HR body (e.g., CIPD or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in talent acquisition, with a strong emphasis on public sector recruitment.
- Deep understanding of public sector recruitment frameworks, standards, and culture.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong data management skills, including secure handling and editing of recruitment data.
- Competent in Microsoft Teams and Office.
- Experience in stratifying data.
- Exceptional communication skills – both written, verbal and listening.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work independently.
