We are currently seeking expressions of interest from UK or International fast-jet pilots for our Red Air Aggressor role flying the Aero L-159 ‘Honey Badger’. This position is primarily focused on future opportunities across Europe and may include multiple countries and bases.

As an L159 Captain, your experience, qualifications, and knowledge should include:

  • High level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Strong focus on aviation safety and compliance.
  • Strong airborne leadership skills.
  • Ability to work through multiple tasks concurrently, prioritising as required to achieve safety and efficiency.
  • Adaptability when faced with dynamic situations.
  • Acceptance of responsibility for decisions and actions.
  • Effective communication and ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform well under time pressure and high information load.
  • Self-assessment skills and openness to constructive criticism.

Education/Vocational Qualifications:

  • UK CPL (A) (EASA, FAA, or other ICAO-compliant national equivalent with valid Instrument and Type Ratings)
  • UK CAA Class 1 medical (or equivalent)
  • For non-UK licences, use the UK CAA Licence Validation Process for G-reg aircraft.
  • Completed AUPRT course.
  • Over 1000 hours on fast jet aircraft (highly desirable).
  • Recent military fast-jet flying experience within the last 6 years (highly desirable).
  • Qualified Weapons Instructor or Flying Instructor (highly desirable).
  • Experience operating single-seat radar-equipped platforms in air-to-air roles (highly desirable).

Note: Nationality restrictions may apply due to Security Clearance and Visa requirements.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of customer operational requirements and platform capabilities.
  • Experience in military or government aviation flight operations.
  • Experience in civil flight operations (desirable).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (desirable).

Experience:

  • Qualified and experienced as a fast-jet pilot.
  • Operational experience with modern radar-equipped fighters (highly desirable).
  • Experience delivering contracted flight operations (desirable).
