Where will you be working? At M Group Energy we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Distribution and Connections division. As one of the largest Independent Connection Providers (ICP’s) in the UK, we support distribution network operations across infrastructure. Our team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement. We're looking for an Estimating Administrator to join our growing team in Bury St Edmunds . This is a great opportunity for someone with estimating experience in the electrical infrastructure sector to play a key role in reviewing opportunities, preparing competitive tenders, and supporting the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients, you'll help drive projects from initial enquiry through to handover. Why Join Us? For the right person, there is the opportunity to progress into a Trainee Estimator role within 6-12 months , with ongoing training, mentoring and the chance to develop valuable skills within a growing infrastructure sector. What You'll Do Get stuck into preparing competitive tenders and estimates for exciting projects. Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and value. Visit sites and attend tender review meetings to gain first-hand project insight. Work closely with delivery teams to ensure a seamless handover from tender stage to project delivery. Help keep projects organised by maintaining accurate records and document control. Play an active role in supporting successful project wins and business growth. What You'll Bring A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence using IT systems. Great communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively. A keen eye for detail and a collaborative approach to teamwork. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites and meetings when required. What’s in it for you?
