Digital Support Analyst

Primary purpose of position – Digital Design Analyst Definition of role:Work in conjunction with Design/Manufacturing/Production teams to analyse existing design processes and investigate ways to introduce a technology-based approach that offers efficiency benefits to the business. Definition of digital design & manufacturing:Digital design & manufacturing is a technology-based approach to design & manufacturing that, in its most fully realized form, uses data integration to link different silos and processes of the design & manufacturing lifecycle so that stakeholders can make better business decisions both comprehensively and at each step. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. Member of the Design Engineering team reporting to the Design Office Manager. Main duties and responsibilities At the direction of strategic management, perform research and interviews to determine business requirements and then translate such into specifications for digital design-based projects. At the direction of strategic management, investigate new products to review whether they would be of benefit to digital design processes. System and applications administration of the CAD facilities. Remain appraised of any improved functionality made available by existing software vendors. Provide ad-hoc support to sales/marketing to produce requested material utilising appropriate CAD software packages. To access any PC or hardware as directed by the IT Infrastructure Manager for the purposes of software upgrade or maintenance. Additional duties and responsibilities Awareness of, and adherence to, all Company Policies and Procedures. Any other duties and ad hoc project work as and when required.
