What you'll be doing: We have an exciting opportunity for a Degree Apprentice Environmental Advisor to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to gain broad experience across a wide range of environmental activities, supporting projects from minor works through to large, multi-year infrastructure schemes. Working alongside experienced Environmental Advisors, design teams and site delivery teams, you'll be involved in environmental assessments, ecology surveys, waste sampling, environmental monitoring, GIS mapping and carbon emission assessments. Through a structured development plan, you'll shadow team members, learn key environmental deliverables and gain exposure to all aspects of the role, with opportunities to specialise as your skills and interests develop. This is a varied role that combines practical site-based experience with academic study, providing a strong foundation for a career in environmental management.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? The successful candidate will enrol onto the Level 6 Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship, with one of our partner universities. Over 5 years, you will work towards a BSc (Hons) Environmental Management.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? As a Degree Apprentice you will be recruited on a permanent contract and after completing your apprenticeship you will have the knowledge and experience to be rewarded with a great career at M Group.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent in 4 subjects including Maths and English
  • A Levels CCC minimum (OR 96 UCAS points in two subjects (AA)) and preferably an A level in a science subject (or an equivalent level 3 qualification)
  • Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • A collaborative approach and a drive to make a difference
  • A full UK/EU Driving licence
